The program which took place in the Faculty of the Social Sciences LLT, began at 2:25 p.m. It started with the rendition of the National and University anthems, followed by the acknowledgment of the presence of the Guest of Honour, which comprised the Dean of the faculty ,Professor Eh i g i e Benjamin; Professor Remi Aiyede; Dr. Busari, the press staff adviser; Dr. Idowu Johnson, and Dr. Orisayomi .       The Dean was requested to deliver the Opening Speech, during which he expressed gratitude to all attendees of the event and praised the team responsible for the success of the inaugural essay competition, a unique event in its own right.       Following that, Mr. Emmanuel Akinwale, the Editor-in-Chief of the Faculty's press, took the stage to deliver his speech, highlighting the processes and people that contributed to the ...

In the official release by IFEC, Boluwaatife Animashaun emerges as the president elect with a total vote of 358 and 23 indecisive votes. Olajide Precious emerges as the Vice president elect with a total vote of 353 and 28 indecisive votes. Abdulakeem Faidat emerges as the General Secretary elect with a total vote of 360 and 21 indecisive votes.
