PROFESSOR ADEBAYO OKUNADE HONORED AT THE VALEDICTORY LECTURE AS HE RETIRES AT 70 .

On Wednesday, 12th March 2025, The Department of Political Science, Faculty of the Social Sciences, held a memorable Valedictory Program and 70th Birthday Lecture in honor of Professor Adebayo Okunade, marking his retirement from active academic service and celebrating his 70th birthday. The event which was held at the Large Lecture Theater, Faculty of the Social Sciences was attended by academicians, policymakers, students and colleagues who gathered to recognize the immense contributions of Professor Okunade to political science education in the university of Ibadan. The highlight of the event was a keynote lecture delivered by Prof. Tunji Olaopa, Chairman of the Federal Civil Service Commission. He gave a speech on the theme "Is Leadership Sufficient to Deliver National Transformation in Nigeria?".
