Ayoolajesu Victoria Ojo The Faculty of The Social Sciences Students’ Association (FATSSSA), University of Ibadan, has announced the inauguration of a new leadership at the management level, marking the beginning of a new administrative tenure. According to a statement released by the Association today, Sunday, 2nd of August 2026, Professor Olajide O. Akanji of the Department of Political Science has been formally inaugurated as the Dean, Faculty of The Social Sciences, while Dr Godwin Daniels, also of the Department of Political Science, has assumed office as the Sub-Dean of the Faculty. The statement clearly indicated this change showing that the transition is already complete and effective. The transition follows the successful completion of the tenure of the immediate past Dean, Professor Benjamin O.
