Dean inaugurates new FATSSSA executives, warns them against operating outside the University rules

By Kayode Oyeniran, UI The dean of the Faculty of the Social Sciences, Prof. P.O. Olapegba, on Monday at the inauguration/swearing-in ceremony of the new members of the executive of the Faculty of the Social Sciences Students' Association (FATSSSA) held at the office of the dean, warned the new executives against operating outside the University rules. While admonishing the new executives before the official oath taking exercise, he charged them to consider their election as a privilege to serve knowing that the power they wield has been entrusted them by the students who voted them. He also enjoined them to not take the privilege they have to serve for granted. According to him, "the office is for service... It does not make you more superior than the people you are leading, as a matter of fact, they decided to put you in office to serve. It is a privilege, power resides with them...they have just given you power to exercise on their behalf. So, don't ever at...
