RE: WE CAN HAVE A BETTER FEMALE LAVATORY

Image
“in journalism, there has always been a tension between getting it first and getting it right.” Ellen Goodman In the early hours of yesterday, 29th day of September, FATSSSA press made a number of publications. One of these titled “we can have a better female lavatory”, has generated great controversies. While the writer of the article is a very young campus journalist who is still in the early stages of her learning, the real responsibility should be borne by the FATSSSA press editors who published the said article with its controversies. Journalism is a delicate, backbreaking as well as critical business; its conduct should be done through patience and strict adherence to the due process. The process of walking in to the faculty management to make enquiries in order to verify the basis for the claims in the article was missed before the publication, and this should not have been so. THE NIGERIAN BOXING PRIDE, ANTHONY JOSHUA, STUNNED, DAZED AND DETHRONED BY HIS UKRAINIAN CHALLENGER OLEKSANDR USYK by Emmauel Ajiboye Oleksandr Usyk shocked the world by defeating the Nigerian Boxing Champion Anthony Oluwaseyi Joshua, by unanimous decision to take his belts. The 12-rounds interesting boxing did not come through the Nigerian's way right from the ringing of the first bell. Usyk produced this stunning performance at Tottenham Hotspur stadium, right inside London. This defeat now makes the prospect of AJ VS FURY unsure and in tatters, as some have dubbed Usyk's victory as the beginning of a new era. The Ukranian outperformed the Briton for the majority of the fight, showing off the skills that allowed him to dominate the cruiserweight division but going up in weight. However, there is a rematch clause, with Joshua – who has now won 24 and lost two of his professional bouts – having previously lost his belts when beaten by Andy Ruiz in New York in June 2019 only to ...

FATSSSA REPRESENTATIVES AT THE JUST CONCLUDED INTER-FACULTY GAMES, DESERVE A SPECIAL DAY OF HONOUR By Emmanuel Ajiboye The FATSSSA male football team has recently won the just concluded inter-faculty football competition. This wholesome victory came as the outcome of a fierce war, as the male football competition arguably claims to be the toughest and most popular of all the sporting activities which were staged at the just concluded Inter-Faculty games. According to the President of the association, Mr. Josiah, the last time FATSSSA won so big was about 15years ago. But this golden male soccer team were not the only winners of the day. The FATSSSA basketball team also won second place in the same competition. FATSSSA participated in nine out of sixteen games in the competition, and in FATSSSA’s own views, all the participants who represented FATSSSA should be celebrated as winners. In each of these games, athletes, their coaches and other administrators polled sle...
