FATSSSA PRESS HANDOVER CEREMONY
By Peace Nkenta The Press arm of the Faculty of The Social Sciences held its handover ceremony on Thursday, 27th of February 2025 at the Faculty's Small Lecture Theatre. The ceremony which kick-started at 9:45 a.m began with the renditions of the Nation's and University's anthems. The opening remark was given by Miss Anuoluwapo, the outgoing General Secretary. She started with appreciating the presence of every pressman and went on to speak on the accomplishments of the Faculty's Press body as well as the variety of challenges it encountered. Afterwards, a speech was delivered by the outgoing Editor-in-Chief - Mr Emmanuel Akinwale. He expounded on the remarks given by the General Secretary, highlighting on the various feats achieved by the Press body in the current session which included; a constitutional amendment, an Inaugural essay competition at the faculty level and the creation of internship opportunities for pressmen. ...
