Image
Editorial: By Eniola Fase In the heart of Nigeria, on the sprawling campus of the University of Ibadan, a vibrant tapestry of campus politics unfolds each day. But it's not just a story of the institution itself; it's a narrative deeply intertwined with the lives, passions, and challenges faced by the students who call UI their academic home. Let us delve into the experiences of these young minds, navigating a complex world where their voices and actions matter more than ever. Manchester United bounces back to wining after their trip to Turf Moor

Image
By Samuel The club captain, Bruno Fernandes, struck a sublime volley to earn a 1-0 victory at Burnley in the Premier League on Saturday as Erik ten Hag’s side ended a three-match losing streak in all competitions. The goal was assisted by Johnny Evans, who had already seen a goal disallowed for United, although Burnley had plenty of chances of their own and were unfortunate to be behind at the interval. Since the resumption of club football after the international break, Manchester United has been lagging behind and not meeting expectations due to injuries, and players not working hard on the pitch to recover lost possession. United’s third victory of the season lifted them into eighth place in the standings with nine points from six games. Burnley has one point from five games and is at the bottom on goal difference. Burnley will next face Newcastle United at St. James’s Park in the Premier League, while Manchester United will host Crystal Palace.

A university’s political scene is a small-scale replica of a much larger design that prepares one for the outside world. The campus provides opportunities to explore different political ideologies that help shape your worldview. No matter how much you claim to be interested or not interested in politics, it will always affect your life. You just have to be wise enough to recognize and use this to your advantage. Participating in politics can be done in various ways. However, you need to choose the method that suits you best. You could choose to be a part of the executive, the arm of the association’s leadership that takes charge of most of the association’s activities. Alternatively, you could be a part of the association’s legislature, the arm that makes and enforces laws and checks and balances the executives every time. ...
