FHR HOLDS INAUGURAL SITTING FOR 2025/26 ACADEMIC SESSION

  Peace Nkenta The Fatsssa House of Representatives (FHR) on Friday, March 27, 2026 in the Small Lecture Theater (SLT) held its inaugural sitting for the 2025/26 academic session. The sitting which began at exactly 12:19p.m started with the inauguration of honorable members for the 2025/26 academic session.  This was followed by the election of principal officers. An in-house election was conducted to this effect and the following honorable members were elected; Hon Mic-Gideon as the Chief Whip, Hon Grace Iyanu as the Deputy Clerk, Hon Temi as the Clerk, Hon Lawal Matrix as the Deputy Speaker and Rt. Hon Oduola Peter who was re-elected to serve as the Speaker of the House. Faculty of Social Sciences to Observe Lecture Free Day for Late Sociology Professor

  Peace Nkenta The student community of the Faculty of The Social Sciences (FATSSSA) on Friday, March 27, 2026 received an internal memorandum on the notice of a lecture free-day on Monday, March 30, 2026, following the passing of the late Professor Olugboyega Obafemi Omololu of the department of Sociology whose impact on staff and students and remarkable contributions to the Faculty remain indelible.  As stated in the memo, members of the Faculty are enjoined to observe the day in reflection and respect for the memory of the departed.
