Faculty of The Social Sciences LLT is set to host “TechQuest”

  By Glorious Olajire On Saturday, November 4, 2023, the Large Lecture Theatre in the Faculty of The Social Sciences at the University of Ibadan is set to host the University's tech community for an event called "Tech Quest." Tech Quest is a one-day program organized by the Google Developer Student Club (GDSC) at the University of Ibadan. Its aim is to assist both newcomers and tech enthusiasts in identifying their ideal tech career path. Bukola Olapade, the community lead for GDSC, emphasized that Tech Quest is open to everyone, regardless of their level of experience. He mentioned, "Intermediate and advanced developers are welcome." FATSSSA’s FHR Presents Reviewed FATSSSA Constitution Despite Multiple Hurdles

  By Glorious Olajire Physical copies of the reviewed constitution, adopted in August 2023, were presented to the FATSSSA House of Representatives (FHR) on October 20, 2023. This presentation took place during the 4th ordinary sitting of the FHR at the Small Lecture Theatre in the Faculty of The Social Sciences. In her address to the house, the Deputy Speaker, Hon. Iyinola Oloyede, mentioned that the cost for the constitution would be 1,000 naira for FHR members and 1,500 naira for interested FATSSSAITES. When questioned by FATSSSA Press about the delay in presenting the constitution, the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Olajumoke Adekola explained that the constitutional review process was complex, and the review committee faced time constraints during the previous session. She mentioned, "By the time the committee was ready to present the outcome of the congress and the approval of the provisions of the constitution to be amended, the session had already come to an end."
