NEWS: Former FATSSSA Vice President appointed Sigma Deputy Chief

  By Emmanuel Akinwale     On the 6th of July, 2024, Sigma Club UI, unveiled new sets of executives to be headed by Olalekan Michael Ajibola, a 500-level Law Student and former UI SU presidential aspirant for the 2022/23 session who is set to serve as the Sigma Chief for the 2023/24 session.  However, a notable appointment among the principal office holders of the Sigma Club UI, the oldest surviving campus club in UI, is that of former FATSSSA Vice President, Toluwaleke Owonifaari who was appointed as the Deputy Chief of the Sigma Club, UI.  Recall, that Toluwaleke Owonifaari served as the Vice President of the Faculty of the Social Sciences Students’ Association for the 2022/23 academic session. As the Deputy Chief of the Sigma Club UI, Owonifaari is expected to serve as the Custodian of discipline in the Club and the head of the band committee. Euros 2024: The Final Four

  By Caleb Faniyan   The UEFA European Championship which started on Friday, 14 June 2024, is now at the semi-final stage with only four teams left in the tournament - Spain, France, England, and Netherlands.  These four teams will be battling their way to glory by trying to defeat one another to make the final stage of the competition at the Olympiastadion .     Spain was the first country to qualify for the semi-final after breezing through Georgia in the round of 16 knockout stages and emerging victorious with a Merino extra-time dagger in a fierce quarter-final battle against Germany. Spain has been impressive, despite several concerns raised about the involvement of young and inexperienced players in the squad.
