This gathering was organized to be a memorable occasion, and attendees were required to purchase tickets at the rate of ₦1000 as their entry pass. The event was graced by the distinguished presence of The Fatsssa President, Dasaolu Olumide, the Vice-President, the Social Director, and several other esteemed faculty executives. The event was scheduled to commence at 4:30 PM, although there was a slight delay due to inclement weather. Nevertheless, the event was masterfully led by Headie, the MC, and DJ Sketch, who enthralled the audience with a captivating musical backdrop.   ODUKOYA GRACE OMOLOLA On November 2, 2023, the office of the Vice President hosted a virtual workshop focused on the art of crafting scholarship-winning essays. The event, which took place via Zoom, commenced at 6:30 p.m. and drew the participation of eighty-eight (88) eager attendees. The workshop featured two distinguished speakers: Michael Akinkunmi, a Mastercard Foundation scholar at the University of Cambridge, who earned his B.Sc. in Political Science from the University of Ibadan (UI), and Muhammed Alakitan, a PhD student in Sociology at the University of Cambridge, with a background in Sociology from UI. During the event, Mr. Muhammed Alakitan underscored the significance of a strong Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) as a key factor in bolstering a student's chances of securing scholarships. Originally scheduled in the Lecture Theatre (LLT), the event took an unexpected turn as it was relocated to FATSSSA's Room 036. The decision to change venues was explained by the Vice President of FATSSSA, who noted that the LLT had been continuously occupied for the past three weeks, causing disruptions to the SOC 208 lecture. Anticipating a lower turnout, the decision to relocate was made to prevent further disruption to ongoing classes. Stress can either be good stress, referred to as eustress, or bad stress, which is called distress. Campus Journalists at the University of Ibadan enjoyed an in-depth discovery into reporting for impact. Facilitators included the executive director, Yinka Olaito and Multimedia Journalist, Damilola Fajimi. Mr. Yinka Olaito, encouraged campus journalists to follow impactful journalists. “You can't go higher than what you follow.
