SECOND ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL SOCIAL SCIENCES CONFERENCE: SOCIAL SCIENCES IN A CHANGING WORLD: CHALLENGES, SOCIOECONOMIC ADAPTATION AND RESILIENCE

  Ageh Success The Faculty of the Social Sciences, University of Ibadan, held day two of its highly anticipated annual conference on Tuesday at Trenchard Hall, beginning promptly at 10:29 AM. The event brought together top academics, administrators, and students to explore transformative ideas in the social sciences. The conference opened with the recitation of the national and university anthems, followed by a formal welcome extended to the Vice Chancellor, Professor Kayode Adebowale, and other dignitaries. In his welcome address, the Dean of the Faculty of the Social Sciences, Professor B.O Ehigie noted that the conference had already recorded 415 registered participants as of the previous day representing a 10 percent increase from last year. The Vice Chancellor, in his address, commended the Faculty for selecting a timely and thoughtful theme. The LightPen The 2nd Annual Ibadan International Social Sciences Conference which started yesterday, 16th June, 2025 continues today with the main conference. The event began with the national anthem and the school anthem.  The Dean of the Faculty proceeded to give a welcome address afterwards. The moderator invited the vice Chancellor for an opening remarks and he emphasized the importance of the conference.
