DAY 2 OF THE ANNUAL IBADAN INTERNATIONAL SOCIAL SCIENCE CONFERENCE 2.0; THE VICE CHANCELLOR OPENING REMARKS

The 2nd Annual Ibadan International Social Sciences Conference which started yesterday, 16th June, 2025 continues today with the main conference. The event began with the national anthem and the school anthem. 

The Dean of the Faculty proceeded to give a welcome address afterwards. The moderator invited the vice Chancellor for an opening remarks and he emphasized the importance of the conference.

FATSSSA'S PRESIDENT IMPEACHED, FOUR OTHER EXECUTIVE MEMBERS SUSPENDED

    Peace Nkenta As at 2:25p.m on Friday, the 15th of May 2026, Peter Adegoke, President of the Faculty of The Social Sciences was impeached with a total of 14 out of 16 votes which represented more than two-thirds of the House and four other members of the executive council (which included the Vice President, the Social Director, the Sports Director and the Financial Secretary) were suspended for two weeks with a total of 9 out of 16 votes during the ordinary sitting held at the Small Lecture Theater (SLT).  This development stemmed from the several altercations between the FHR and the Executive Council.
