FATSSSA ELECTION'26 RESULTS

  Bhagemede The election scheduled for Thursday, 8th of October 2026, commenced at 9:00a.m. The election was hybrid (both online and onsite at the Pako Lounge in the Faculty), IFEC officials urged Financial members of the Faculty to check their mails in order to get the link and password to participate in the voting process.  As at 10:33a.m, the votes had tallyed up to 320, financial members of the Association  who had issues with participating in the voting process were advised to be at the Faculty’s Pako Lounge where the help desk was situated with the availability of Seven IFEC officials who were to provide aid for such situations.  At 12:07p.m, 427 votes had been cast.  Voters who could not gain access to the Election poll came to the Pako Lounge to be aided to participate in the voting process.  A voter’s complaint was that she didn't get any mail concerning the Election. SOCIAL DIRECTOR ASPIRANT HAS BEEN CLEARED; IFEC’S RELEASE ON THE BROADCAST

Following the earlier discovery of the Momentum Agenda broadcast message which was sent to some Fatsssaites, The Independent FATSSSA Electoral Commission (IFEC) embarked on an investigation after receiving several complaints from the general populace of the Association.  The Electoral Commission, had sent out a memo earlier on for students who received the text to send screenshots. It was later discovered that it was a broadcast message and it was majorly MTN subscribers who had received the text, the Commission established that the delivery of the texts was delayed due to network and bulk messages. IFEC also received evidence that the messages were sent the previous night (prior to the Election Day) and its delivery to recipients on the Election day was not a deliberate act. Aspirant Messages FATSSSAITES to Promote the Momentum Agenda Despite Notification on Campaign Halt

  By FATSSSA PRESS A campaign message promoting Modesty Paul Nsirim, an aspirant for the position of Social Director in the forthcoming FATSSSA election, has been circulated to students despite the directive for aspirants and their supporters to cease campaign activities. The message, sent from a contact identified as “MOMENTUM,” was received at about 8:27 a.m. on Thursday, October 8, and called on students to support Nsirim under the Momentum agenda. “Fatsssaites, Make your voice count and help shape the next social season we deserve. Choose, Modesty Paul Nsirim for Social Director, The Momentum Agenda,” the message read. This development comes after the campaign period had reportedly elapsed, with aspirants and campaign teams expected to discontinue activities aimed at soliciting votes.
