Manchester United bounces back to wining after their trip to Turf Moor

The club captain, Bruno Fernandes, struck a sublime volley to earn a 1-0 victory at Burnley in the Premier League on Saturday as Erik ten Hag’s side ended a three-match losing streak in all competitions.

The goal was assisted by Johnny Evans, who had already seen a goal disallowed for United, although Burnley had plenty of chances of their own and were unfortunate to be behind at the interval.

Since the resumption of club football after the international break, Manchester United has been lagging behind and not meeting expectations due to injuries, and players not working hard on the pitch to recover lost possession.

United’s third victory of the season lifted them into eighth place in the standings with nine points from six games. Burnley has one point from five games and is at the bottom on goal difference.

Burnley will next face Newcastle United at St. James’s Park in the Premier League, while Manchester United will host Crystal Palace.
