   FATSSSA REPRESENTATIVES AT THE JUST CONCLUDED INTER-FACULTY GAMES, DESERVE A SPECIAL DAY OF HONOUR

The FATSSSA male football team has recently won the just concluded inter-faculty football competition. This wholesome victory came as the outcome of a fierce war, as the male football competition arguably claims to be the toughest and most popular of all the sporting activities which were staged at the just concluded Inter-Faculty games. According to the President of the association, Mr. Josiah, the last time FATSSSA won so big was about 15years ago. But this golden male soccer team were not the only winners of the day. The FATSSSA basketball team also won second place in the same competition.

FATSSSA participated in nine out of sixteen games in the competition, and in FATSSSA’s own views, all the participants who represented FATSSSA should be celebrated as winners. In each of these games, athletes, their coaches and other administrators polled sleepless nights in trainings and personal practices. The victorious football team started trainings since July ending, many had to go without classes for days in order to be at the pitch.

 Without leaving anyone out, FATSSSA should declare a full day to honour its athletes in the coming FATSSSA week for their immense dedication and patriotism. It will serve as an important indulgence for their demonstrated commitment, as it would equally reward FATSSSA with the beautiful beholding of an institution that values its heroes. In the thereafter more patriots would arise from us, motivated by the wish to be called out from their peers and so celebrated, for reasons other than academics.

THE FATSSSA WEEK EVENTS THROUGH THE EYES OF A NERDY FATSSSAITE

However, there had been loud hiccups with the crispy picnic, so many might have been hesitant to show up at the FATSSSA Week events. In preparation for the opening day of the events, the Large Lecture Theatre had been decorated. A large purple banner bearing the name of the faculty, with beautiful splashes of white and orange, was glued to the wall. The week started with an incredible intellectual programme - ‘Dean For  A Day’ and ‘FATSSSAites who inspire us’. I was determined to attend the programme as it was a new trend and I was curious to see how it would turn out. My mouth went agape as I saw FATSSSAites rush to the event.
