FATSSSA election: IFEC Releases Result, Animashaun Boluwatife, Others Emerges Unopposedd

The Independent FATSSSA electoral commission announced the result of the just concluded FATSSSA executive election which was held on January 16th 2025, with a total vote cast of 381 out of 670 registered voters.

In the official release by IFEC, Boluwaatife Animashaun emerges as the president elect with a total vote of 358 and 23 indecisive votes.

Olajide Precious emerges as the Vice president elect with a total vote of 353 and 28 indecisive votes.

Abdulakeem Faidat emerges as the General Secretary elect with a total vote of 360 and 21 indecisive votes.

Taofeek Rasheed emerges as the financial secretary elect with a total vote of 281 and 100 indecisive votes.

Ushie Stephen emerges as the Public Relation Officer elect with a total vote  352 and 29 indecisive votes.

Two aspirants vie for the office of the Assistant General Secretary,  Emmanuel Akinbusuyi and Busari Muizat. Busari Muizat emerges the Assistant General Secretary elect with the total vote of 198 and 9 indecisive votes. Emmanuel Akinbusuyi on the other hand had a total vote of 174 and 9 indecisive votes.

THE FATSSSA WEEK EVENTS THROUGH THE EYES OF A NERDY FATSSSAITE

However, there had been loud hiccups with the crispy picnic, so many might have been hesitant to show up at the FATSSSA Week events. In preparation for the opening day of the events, the Large Lecture Theatre had been decorated. A large purple banner bearing the name of the faculty, with beautiful splashes of white and orange, was glued to the wall. The week started with an incredible intellectual programme - ‘Dean For  A Day’ and ‘FATSSSAites who inspire us’. I was determined to attend the programme as it was a new trend and I was curious to see how it would turn out. My mouth went agape as I saw FATSSSAites rush to the event.
