FEATURES: CULTURAL NIGHT

OCTOBER 16: A NIGHT OF CULTURE AND FUN BY HABIB LANLEHIN October 16 2021 was a day that will forever be imprinted on the minds of “UITES” especially those from THE FACULTY OF THE SOCIAL SCIENCES.  University of Ibadan is one of the most “dreaded” Universities when it comes to academic prowess and astute belief in Educational capabilities before anything else. To the outside world all we do is read, read, read and then read some more but surprisingly in the middle of never ending classes, unending trips to and fro from KDL, countless nights spent at the SUB building, TDB, MTN and whatever the “bookworms” of this prestigious university has come up with to retain their honor as the ‘FIRST AND THE BEST” the only faculty with the article “THE” in the university still managed to take a night out and party till the sun went down. It all started with the sub-dean, DR, Lafenwa speech which was followed by his dance steps which lit the dance floor and blessed the event.  A live b...

A POEM

Image
STRENGTH By Teresa Solomon prayed for wisdom, Kings and queens stood before him David asked for strength, he killed Goliath The pen is mightier than sword they say, but no one knows which goes first but we surely want to survive, be seen, heard and achieve greatness. But each time we look at our physique in the mirror eyes of the world, we are nothing but a weakling. A man who would fight with a pen will trust his gut not the reader and a man who will fight with a sword will trust in his strength and skills not the solders who challenges him in a battle The world sees what it wants but the person with a heart knows better what the world does not see. There is no conqueror to you than what you think Pray for strength and wisdom and you are a soldier and a conqueror in the battle field which is our world.
