FATSSSA PRESS GETS A NEW EDITORIAL BOARD, AS OUTSTANDING CAMPUS JOURNALISTS IN THE FACULTY WERE AWARDED ON THE 17TH OF DECEMBER, 2021.

The 17th day of December 2021 marked a milestone in the Faculty of the social sciences Press as the 2020/2021 editorial board of the organization was dissolved.

 

The dissolution was followed by the inauguration of a New Editorial Board which shall oversee the affairs of campus journalism across the faculty during the 2021/2022 academic session. 

The new executives were sworn in the small lecture theatre, Faculty of the social sciences, venue for the Handover and Award-giving event.

Meanwhile, members of the Press Organisation who had performed excellently in the concluding 2020/2021 Session were given various awards during the same event.

OYEKANMI ABIODUN of Political Science Students Press Organisation won the Faculty’s Pressman of the Year, while

ENIOLA FASE of Psychology Students Press Organisation won the Best Inductee of the year.

 

 

The new FATSSSA Press Editorial Board will be headed by EMMANUEL OYEGOKE AJIBOYE, a 400 level student of Geography. He was also the Editor in chief during the concluded section, and has been returned by the Faculty Press’s Guild of Editors.

 

Mr Emmanuel would be assisted by BOLUERE MIRACLE GEORGE as the Deputy Editor-in-Chief. ENIOLA FASE, FANIYAN CALEB as the News and Features Editors respectively.

 

Other members of the editorial board are;

 ADELERE MAYOKUN (Managing Editor).

NNAGBORO VIVIAN (Entertainment/lifestyle)

BAMIMORE SOGO (Sports Editor). J

EGEDE OLUWATOSIN OLUWASEUN (General Editor).

AJAYI SAMUEL (Web/Blog Editor).

 

The UCJ UI President, Ibukunoluwa Dada was present at the ceremony and swore them in. He charged the inaugurated members to keep to the “journalists’ creed” and perform the functions related to their offices with dedication, while also encouraging all the members of the Press to keep to the ethos of journalism without fear.
