HONOURABLE MEMBERS REMOVED FROM HONORARY POSITIONS

The FHR in a memo circulated to the general populace of the Association on Thursday, September 17, 2026 notified fatsssaites on the removal of three honourable members from their honorary positions due to violations of the Constitution as stated in Article 17 Section II.

It states that “Members of the FHR shall not be absent from any of its meetings irrespective of their posts. Any member who absents himself for the FHR meeting for 3 consecutive times with or without excuse shall be deemed to have forfeited his seat, except otherwise decided by the House in a special case.” 

Honorable members who were removed include; Hon. Oluwashina Joseph Didaraoluwa of the 100 level Sociology constituency, Hon. Babs Dunamis Oluwatobi of the 200 level Political Science constituency and Hon. Oladosu Waris Olayinka of the 400 level Political Science constituency, leaving their seats now vacant.

Also, Hon. Izukanne Francis Obinna of the 100 level Sociology constituency, has resigned from his position in order to pursue his political ambitions.

FATSSSA'S PRESIDENT IMPEACHED, FOUR OTHER EXECUTIVE MEMBERS SUSPENDED

    Peace Nkenta As at 2:25p.m on Friday, the 15th of May 2026, Peter Adegoke, President of the Faculty of The Social Sciences was impeached with a total of 14 out of 16 votes which represented more than two-thirds of the House and four other members of the executive council (which included the Vice President, the Social Director, the Sports Director and the Financial Secretary) were suspended for two weeks with a total of 9 out of 16 votes during the ordinary sitting held at the Small Lecture Theater (SLT).  This development stemmed from the several altercations between the FHR and the Executive Council.
