The Faculty of the Social Sciences Students Association (FATSSSA), University of Ibadan, issued a stern notice addressing the defacement of the Faculty environment today, Friday, 10th of October, 2025. The memo, signed by the Association's President, Animashaun Boluwatife, and General Secretary, Abdul Akeem Mosunmola, emphasized the importance of maintaining an orderly and aesthetic Faculty atmosphere.

This notice comes in response to reports of indiscriminate pasting of posters, banners, and other materials across unauthorized areas within the Faculty. FATSSSA describes this practice as a violation of the standards of cleanliness and orderliness that the Association upholds.

The Association reiterated its commitment to fostering a conducive environment for learning, relaxation, and other activities. It called on members of the Faculty to desist from defacing walls, doors, or other surfaces with unapproved publicity materials. “Any publicity material must be placed only on designated notice boards or with due authorization”, the letter stated.

Issued in the memo was a warning that defaulters would face accountability measures, which may include disciplinary action. Furthermore, students were urged to collaborate in maintaining the Faculty's aesthetic and academic integrity.
