VALEDICTORY SITTING

On the 5th March 2025, the Faculty House of Representatives (FHR) held a valedictory sitting, the last sitting for the Administration which birth The new administration. The house proceeded to have the in-house election after every agenda has been taken. Honourable Peter emerged as the Right Honourable Speaker with 5 votes and Honourable Testimony emerged as the clerk of the house with 5 votes as well, no one voted against the candidates, only 5 Honourables were present and everyone voted for the candidates. The past administration advised them to fill in the vacant post as soon as possible and suggested that it should be done through online sitting during the break. Other agenda that took place at the valedictory sitting was the dinner report which was given by the out going president of the association in the absence of the Social director due to a task given by the president. The Honourable members deliberated on this and proceeded to give the President the floor to give the report on behalf of the Social director. The stewardship report for each offices were also taken, each executive members gave their stewardship report and comments were made on each report given by them. On the general Secretary report, the house commented that most of the things mentioned were not accomplished by him and also that he didn’t really function in his office, the Assistant General Secretary was not available to give his report as well due to a cogent reason and the financial secretary gave the report on his behalf. After all the stewardship report of the executive members were given, it was adopted by the house and the house commend them for the service rendered. The house stewardship report was also given which was likewise adopted by the house. The L&D was not present to give their report. The Press stewardship report was not given due to the short notice as reported by the erstwhile Editor-in-chief and the house insisted on the presence of the erstwhile Editor-in-chief before the report of the events held can be given and likewise the stewardship report.

The sitting was adjourned at exactly 4:42p.m by the Speaker of the house, Right Honourable Ifeanyi
