The ongoing FATSSSA Week continued on December 18, 2024, as the financial summit occurred in the Large Lecture Theatre, aiming to promote financial literacy among students.

The Financial Summit featured  the theme "Enhancing financial literacy in contemporary society." Two speakers: Ms. Temitope Gbadebo (CREDIT CAPITAL MANAGER, OYO BRANCH) and Mr. Oluwatobiloba David (CEO of LORALAND), were invited to share their financial adroitness at the summit.

The event commenced at 11:00. First to approach the podium was Ms Gbadebo, who presented her speech. The key highlight was the 50/30/20 financial strategy. She further opined that for an individual to achieve financial independence, it is not necessary to allocate all their earnings to food; a portion should be directed towards savings and investments.

The second speaker discussed the real estate sector; he opined that just saving money is not enough for financial independence, but the capability to invest transforms one into a financial powerhouse. He also urges those present at the event that accomplishments do not come easily; one must begin from a certain point.
