DEFORESTATION: Lumberjacks Fell Trees in Heritage Park

In the early hours of November 21, 2024, Heritage Park in the University of Ibadan, located opposite Queens Hall, underwent deforestation as lumberjacks fell trees.


Heritage Park UI, before its deforestation has served as a place where people have a lot of fun and relaxation because of Its cool and soothing atmosphere. Events such as birthday parties, convocation ceremonies, and matriculation parties are often held there. Also, people get to take their pre-wedding photographs there because of the beauty that comes with a natural background


As Per an IndyPress report, a source who pleaded anonymity stated that the trees were cut down to make grounds for the construction of a proposed new Senate Building
