FATSSSA Press: Good evening

I am a FATSSSA Press from the FATSSSA press

Kindly introduce yourself, sir

Mr. Oderinde: Good evening

My name is Oderinde Paul Babatunde

I am a 300 level student from the department of political science, university of Ibadan.

FATSSSA Press: Ok, Mr Oderinde, if I am right, you are vying for the post of General Secretary. Can you give an insight into why you are going for the post

Mr. Oderinde: Ok thank you. My decision to re-run for the of the student's association General Secretary is borne out of the sense and commitment to the growth of  student body.

I understand that the post of the general secretary demands safekeeping of records, handling of correspondences, organization of meetings and carrying out official duties as stipulated by the constitution.

However, beyond my statutory duties, I will be effecting some plans which are the make up of my manifesto.

Thank you

FATSSSA Press: One of your agenda is database records of students but the last time I checked, that had been implemented

Mr. Oderinde: Yes thank you.  I will be updating the database records. It is imperative that the data from freshers and staylites who  wouldn't be registering for this session be updated.

I actually wrote that I will be updating the database records not creation of another.

Thank you.

FATSSSA Press: How do you plan to go about lecturers database

Mr. Oderinde: Oh yeah about that. I actually will be working closely with class reps of each department across all the levels in getting the information about their lecturers and the courses they teach.

From that end, I will proceed to keep their data updated

FATSSSA Press: You were disqualified during the last press night based on some grounds, can the fatsssaites still trust you with this post.

Mr. Oderinde: I admit that there was a hitch in the screening process last session due to late presentation of some of my documents whose fault was mine. However, due to earnest sense of commitment to service for the faculty students association, I have decided to run for this post again.

I have served as a volunteer for programmes organized by the faculty in past administrations. I believe that Fatsssaites won't let one glitch overrule contributions and services a fatsssaite has offered for the development of the association.

Thank you.

FATSSSA Press: Are you aware that there is another aspirant for this post

Mr. Oderinde: Yes

FATSSSA Press: If contributions and services were the grounds for electing,  do you think you have made more contributions or why should fatsssaites choose you over the other candidate.

Mr. Oderinde: Ok.  Well, I have served as a volunteer In many programmes by the faculty like every concerned Fatsssaite would. My plans for the association are in my manifestos. I am using this medium to urge Fatsssaites to vote the best candidate for the sustained development of the association.

Thank you.

FATSSSA Press: Thank you so much Mr. Paul. This will bring us to the end of this interview.
