By Oluwadarasimi Otunla

FATSSSA PRESS: My name is Oluwadarasimi from FATSSSA PRESS, and I'll be interviewing you today.

Can you briefly introduce yourself?

Mr President: My Name is Dasaolu Daniel Olumide, a 400-level student of the Department of Psychology and the President of FATSSSA.

FATSSSA PRESS: Thank you for having us here today.

As we begin a new semester, what are the key goals or priorities the faculty aims to achieve this academic term?

Mr President: Alright, This semester, there is just one main goal, and that is " Excellence" in all ramifications…

Academics and tutorials will be commencing soon at the Faculty level, for Finalist Data analysis teachings will also commence soon to help them with projects.

Extracurricular-wise, we will be having a lot of events in which FATSSSA will be competing, and our aim as a council is to ensure we do all we can to come out victorious

FATSSSA PRESS: How would you describe the overall vision for this semester in terms of student engagement and success?

Mr President: Basically, the vision is to achieve greater heights in all of FATSSSA's endeavours, and as a council, work has started already.

FATSSSA PRESS: Recently, the proposed excursion to have taken place on the 16th of January 2024 has been cancelled. Can you provide some insights into the reasons behind the cancellation of the FATSSSA excursion?

Mr President: First off, I must state that it was so painful; a lot of effort has gone into the excursion, but powers beyond say No, so basically, it came directly from the office of the dean. The main reason was because of security. We provided security measures already from our end; in fact, to maintain sanity again while going, a lecturer would have gone with us, but then the security of FATSSSAites was one thing the dean didn't take likely, so rather than go that far, he suggested we go somewhere within Ibadan.

FATSSSA PRESS: How is the faculty planning to address the disappointment and concerns of students regarding the cancelled excursion?

Mr President: We opened a group for all that paid, and I addressed them the night I got the letter, and I really appreciate all for understanding.

FATSSSA PRESS: Are there alternative plans or compensations being considered for students who were looking forward to the excursion?

Mr President: No alternative; I know quite a lot of people that paid because of the excursion site, "2nd suspended lake in the world".If it had been somewhere in Ibadan, maybe they wouldn't have paid.

FATSSSA PRESS: Do you have any other words you wish to share with the students of the Faculty?

Mr President: This is the season; FATSSSAITES needs to truly bear the allegiance of that title; we need everyone's support in all we will be doing.

In conclusion, expect a fun-filled semester and anticipate  FATSSSA WEEK.

FATSSSA PRESS: Thank you so much for having us, Mr President, have a good day.

Mr President: Thank you.
