JUST IN: FHR Inaugurates IFEC Members

In an emergency sitting convened via Google Meet on November 1, 2023, the FATSSSA House of Representatives (FHR) officially inaugurated six members of the Independent FATSSSA Electoral Commission (IFEC).
According to Article 10, Section (ii)g of Chapter Three (3) of the FATSSSA constitution, the IFEC is to comprise eight reputable members of Congress, with two nominees from each department, as chosen by the FHR.
Miss Olajumoke Adekola, Speaker of the House, disclosed that six out of the eight nominees were present for the inauguration, conducted by Mr. Olumide Dasaolu, President of the Faculty of The Social Science Students Association (FATSSSA).
The Clerk of the House, Mr. Faiz Oyekanmi, confirmed that four of the nominees were returning members: Akinmade Oladunni Janet (Sociology, 400 level), Idowu Oluwaseun Christiana (Psychology, 400 level), Sanda Ismail Oladimeji (Political Science, 300 level), and Ajayi Temitope Victoria (Political Science, 400 level).
The six members inaugurated include Akinmade Oladunni Janet (Sociology, 400 level), Orioke Paul Iyanuoluwa (Sociology, 200 level), Sanda Ismail Oladimeji (Political Science, 300 level), Ajayi Temitope Victoria (Political Science, 400 level), Obiajulu Divine Dumebi (Geography, 400 level), and Idowu Oluwaseun Christiana (Psychology, 400 level).
Oghenefejiro Opubor (Psychology, 200 level) and Abdulmonjeed Kaosarat Olansile (Geography, 300 level) are slated for inauguration at the next session.
Miss Olajumoke Adekola also disclosed that the selection of the committee's Chairman would be determined in the upcoming session.
