FATSSSA Press Organization Inaugurates New Leadership

At the handover ceremony on the 20th of June 2023, held at the Small Lecture Theatre (SLT), Faculty of The Social Sciences, a new set of FATSSSA Press leaders were inaugurated.

In attendance were members of various press organisations across the faculty and some members of the newly elected FATSSSA executives; Mr Dasaolu Olamide(President-elect), Mr Owonifaari Toluwaleke (Vice-president elect) and Miss Popoola Gloria (General Secretary elect).

The new members of the Editorial Board and Executives are as follows:
Editor-in-Chief: Eniola Fase, PsychLens
She served as the Editor-in-Chief for PsychLens, and News Editor, for the 2021/2022 session.
Deputy Editor-in-Chief and Head of Features Desk: Ibukunoluwa Keyamo, FATSSSA Press
She served as the General Secretary and Features Editor for FATSSSA Press, 2021/2022 session.
General Secretary and Head of the News Desk: Glorious Olajire, FATSSSA Press
She was the Deputy News Editor for FATSSSA Press, 2021/2022 session.
Public Relations Officer and Assistant Head of Politics Desk: Habeeb Lanlehin, POSPRESS
He served as the features editor for POSPRESS 2021/22 session.
Web Editor and Head of Creative Desk: Grace Odukoya Omolola, NSASA Press
She served as the Creative desk head for FATSSSA Press; 2021/22 session and Blog Editor for NSASA Press; 2021/22 session.
Treasurer and Assistant Head of Features Desk: Samuel Ajayi, 
Head of Politics Desk: Caleb Faniyan, PsychLens.
Assistant Head of Creative Desk: Yanmife Otegbeye, Voice of Geographers(VOG)
He served as the Deputy Editor-in-Chief for the 201/22 session and is the Current Deputy Editor-in-Chief for VOG.
Head of Sports Desk: Tomisin Adegbola, NSASA Press
She served as the Sports Editor of FATSSSA Press for the 2021/22 session.
Assistant Head of Sports Desk: Eniola Olaniyi, POSPRESS
She is also the Editor-in-Chief for POSPRESS
Head of Interview Desk: Miracle George, VOG
She served as the Editor-In-Chief for Voice Of Geographers (VOG) and is currently the Editor-in-Chief for VOG.
Assistant Head of Interview Desk: Vivian Nnagboro, PsychLens
She served as the Interviews Editor for the 2021/2022 session and is the current Editor in chief for PsychLens.
Assistant Head of News Desk: Bibi Agarah, PsychLens 
She is the current Head of the Sports and Entertainment Desk for PsychLens.

BREAKING: FACULTY OF THE SOCIAL SCIENCES MOURNS LECTURER, SUSPENDS ALL ACTIVITIES FOR THE WEEK

  By Emmanuel Akinwale The Faculty of the Social Sciences has today, 8th October released a memorandum announcing the suspension of all academic and administrative activities within the f aculty , following the untimely passing of Professor Ifeanyi Onyeonoru , a respected lecturer in the Department of Sociology and Head of the Employment Relations and Human Resource Management Unit.   The devastating news confirmed by FATSSSA Press correspondent stated that Professor Ifeanyi Onyeonoru passed away in the early hours of October 7, 2024, at Jaja Clinic during a brief illnes. The esteemable Professor is said to have contributed significantly to the academic repository of the Faculty and most importantly, his Department with his repertoire of knowledge. THE FATSSSA WEEK EVENTS THROUGH THE EYES OF A NERDY FATSSSAITE

However, there had been loud hiccups with the crispy picnic, so many might have been hesitant to show up at the FATSSSA Week events. In preparation for the opening day of the events, the Large Lecture Theatre had been decorated. A large purple banner bearing the name of the faculty, with beautiful splashes of white and orange, was glued to the wall. The week started with an incredible intellectual programme - ‘Dean For  A Day’ and ‘FATSSSAites who inspire us’. I was determined to attend the programme as it was a new trend and I was curious to see how it would turn out. My mouth went agape as I saw FATSSSAites rush to the event.
