INTERVIEW WITH THE ASPIRANT FOR THE OFFICE OF PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER (PRO).

MR OLOYEDE ISRAEL

“Sharing information is my own form of contribution to the world at large”.

BY: JAMES SIMISOLA

FATSSA PRESS: Good evening sir,

My name's James Simisola, a correspondent of FATSSSA Press.

I understand you're vying for the post of P.R.O at the faculty level.

Mr. Israel: Good evening sir and yes, I'm.

FATSSSA PRESS: Please introduce yourself in full.

Mr. Israel: My name is Israel Oyindamola Oloyede. I am a 200-level student of the Department of Geography.

FATSSSA PRESS: Nice having you here Mr. Israel. Kindly describe yourself to us, your person, beliefs in life, source of motivation etc.

Mr. Israel: Thank you very much for that question sir. Describing myself is a very big question.

To the best of my knowledge, I am ambitious and driven.

Ambition and drive are two qualities that are essential to the growth of any association. I consistently seek means to improve myself and keep my eyes firmly set on goals.

FATSSSA PRESS: Ok, go on.

Mr. Israel: My philosophy generally is giving because I am a product of giving. Giving doesn't necessarily need to be in monetary form; it can be words, information and so many other virtues. Sharing information is my own form of contribution to the world at large.

Williams Pollard said "Information is a source of learning. But unless it is organized, processed, and available to the right people in a format for decision making, it is a burden, not a benefit."

I do everything within my capacity to ensure the information I pass across to people are well organized and processed.

I get my motivation from my heart and people who are doing well in this sphere of life: publicity.

It is from my heart because it makes me happy. I get motivated by good publicists because I have the drive to become better.

FATSSSA PRESS: Alright.

Why do you intend to go for the office of PRO?

Mr. Israel: I decided to enroll for the position because publicity is what I love doing. I believe I will be more effective doing it because it is what I love doing. More so, I was the Public Relations Officers of NUGSA (Resigned on Monday 11th); people’s comments fostered me more to enlarge my range to the faculty level.

FATSSSA PRESS: What's the one unique thing you will contribute to the office if you emerge?

Mr. Israel: Effectiveness.

With my goals and plans, I will enact effectiveness in the publicity of the Association.

FATSSSA PRESS: Kindly state those goals.

Mr. Israel:  First, I will create a FATSSSA Board of PRO group. I will ensure it is effective. I will bring in collectivism into "The Radio" agenda.

I will create a Telegram group for all FATSSSAITES. Everyone will have access to the group. All information will be posted there to serve as a back up for WhatsApp.

I will send information about Scholarship Opportunity to all FATSSSAITES through our Social Media platforms.

UI'SU updates will also be included

I will also introduce Birthday Chapter to this administration.

All FATSSSAITES who are willing to be celebrated on their birthday will be posted via our Social Media platforms.

FATSSSA PRESS: If you do get in that position of being the PRO, do you intend to work alongside FATSSSA Press in the dissemination of information?

Mr. Israel: Yes sir.

It is one of my duties as stated in Chapter 2, Article 8, Section 7 of FATSSSA Constitution.

I shall prepare Press-Release on the Association’s activities and send same to the Press and Radio-Stations with due consultation with the Executive Council.

FATSSSA PRESS: In enacting your manifesto, what will be your central theme?

Mr. Israel: Collectivism.

Working hand-in-hand with the Public Relations Officers of all the departments in the Faculty of The Social Sciences.

In order to achieve a better result.

FATSSSA PRESS: Alright, that will be all for now.

Thanks for your time sir. We really do appreciate your attention.

Mr. Israel: Thank you sir.
