INTERVIEW WITH THE ASPIRANT FOR THE POST OF VICE PRESIDENT
OLAOLUWA TAWAKALITU

“I believe that the post would enable me to serve and advance humanity as our motto says".

BY MAYORKUN ADELERE

FATSSSA PRESS: Good morning, my name is Mayorkun, a respondent from fatsssa press and I would like to ask a few questions.

TAWAKALT: Good morning
FATSSSA PRESS: Please introduce yourself to us in full
TAWAKALT: OLAOLUWA Oluwayemisi Tawakalitu (Tawakalt), a 200-level student of psychology department.

FATSSSA PRESS: Please describe yourself to us, your person, basic beliefs in life, source of motivation and why exactly are you interested in running for this office?
TAWAKALT: When I gained admission into UI, my first interest was how to do gain knowledge and be able to make impact with them. I began to solicit information from senior colleagues, friends in other departments and faculties. This information I was happy to share with classmates. On resumption, they unanimously appointed me the assistant class representative. It was not an election. I was deemed worthy of it due to my acts of service.
It is only right that my new status as a student of the University of Ibadan enable to do better as a human being. I tried my best to provide the necessary help I could to my classmates and everyone around me.
With time, I discovered that I could serve better if I had better access to information and opportunities. I could help not just members of my class but every FATSSSAite. This I hope to do by serving as the Vice President of the Faculty.
I believe that the post would enable me to serve and advance humanity as our motto says.

FATSSSA PRESS: What is one unique thing you will contribute to the office if u emerge as the winner?
TAWAKALT: It is a general misconception that the job of the Vice President is strictly academics. I hope to be able to change this narrative during my administration by incorporating elements of welfare.
It is also believed that the post of the Vice Presidency is only important in name. I want to fully implement Article 6, Section 2, Subsection 2 of the constitution by being diligent, active, committed and being present as a representative of the faculty.
Beyond my plans and the provisions of the Constitution, I would apply my skills, commitment and passion towards the growth of FATSSSA.

FATSSSA PRESS: What is the central theme of your manifesto?
TAWAKALT: Central theme of my manifesto is the achievement of greater possibilities through collective efforts.
Thank you for your time.
