FATSSSA Press: Good morning sir, Mr OBJ

FATSSSA Sport Secretary: Morning boss 

FATSSSA Press: my name is Abideen, a correspondent from FATSSSA Press.

FATSSSA Sport Secretary: alright boss

FATSSSA Press: I wish to seek information from you about the upcoming Dean’s Cup.

FATSSSA Sport Secretary: alright boss, I’m really sorry for the late reply, I was in a meeting.

FATSSSA Press: Alright sir.  Firstly, I’d like to ask’ in your words sir, what is Dean’s Cup all about?

FATSSSA Sport Secretary: Dean’s Cup is an annual sport event within the faculty, it is an interdepartmental sport competition that is aimed at promoting unity and sportsmanship within the faculty.

FATSSSA Press: Ok sir, how many games are involved? When is it starting? When is it going to end?

FATSSSA Sport Secretary: We are innovating new sports into the Dean’s cup, they are; football (male and female), field and tracks, Table Tennis, Volley Ball, Chess, Scrabble, PES Championship. Starting from 4th -12th October.

FATSSSA Press: alright sir, if I could get you right, you’re saying it is going to involve both male and female categories?

FATSSSA Sport Secretary: Yes

FATSSSA Press: alright sir. For each of the sporting events, especially football, what is the total prize money to won? Or are there other rewards that would not be monetary?

FATSSSA Sport Secretary: Not yet decided, thanks.

FATSSSA Press: where will the venue of the football matches be?

FATSSSA Sport Secretary: The Old Football Pitch.

  By Emmanuel Akinwale The Faculty of the Social Sciences has today, 8th October released a memorandum announcing the suspension of all academic and administrative activities within the f aculty , following the untimely passing of Professor Ifeanyi Onyeonoru , a respected lecturer in the Department of Sociology and Head of the Employment Relations and Human Resource Management Unit.   The devastating news confirmed by FATSSSA Press correspondent stated that Professor Ifeanyi Onyeonoru passed away in the early hours of October 7, 2024, at Jaja Clinic during a brief illnes. The esteemable Professor is said to have contributed significantly to the academic repository of the Faculty and most importantly, his Department with his repertoire of knowledge. THE FATSSSA WEEK EVENTS THROUGH THE EYES OF A NERDY FATSSSAITE

  By Omolola Odukoya    The Faculty of The Social Sciences had always been known for events which make headlines around campus. However, there had been loud hiccups with the crispy picnic, so many might have been hesitant to show up at the FATSSSA Week events. In preparation for the opening day of the events, the Large Lecture Theatre had been decorated. A large purple banner bearing the name of the faculty, with beautiful splashes of white and orange, was glued to the wall. The week started with an incredible intellectual programme - ‘Dean For  A Day’ and ‘FATSSSAites who inspire us’. I was determined to attend the programme as it was a new trend and I was curious to see how it would turn out. My mouth went agape as I saw FATSSSAites rush to the event.
