Exclusive Interview with Aisha Adeniran Owner of Ai'Sha Collections

Please introduce yourself
I'm Aishat Adeniran.  A student of 100 level department of Geography.

Why geography?
Okay, I picked Geography as a course of study because it deals human relation with physical features and I will like to explore.

In terms of exploration, what do you do asides school?
I am a fashion designer and I'm a shoemaker.
I sew all kinds of female wears and I make unisex sturdy footwear.

How do you balance school and work? And where did the inspiration come  to start this?
Let me start from the inspiration, I have been sewing since my junior secondary school days in 2011.....I can just say I'm talented with sewing because I didn't learn form anyone though my mum is a fashion designer but I don't stay with her every time she is sewing. I just pick pieces of any fabric she cuts nd join together to make styles. So, from there I started making dress perfectly. 
About the shoe making, in 2017 I jst feel I would like to learn how to make shoes since I have heard a lot about ladies that learn shoemaking and they are doing well. So, I have determined that even if I won't be doing it for people I should just learn and make shoes for myself. I told my  parent about it and they agreed. When I started learning within 4 months I have started making slides, sandals for people and they are always pleased with it and still refer more people.
I create time for everything I do, I have my to-do list. I make sure I read and I also do my work at expedient time that won't affect my studies.

How has your stay in UI been?
Cool as cucumber.

Are there any challenges you have faced as a fresher in UI?
I don't think I have undergo any challenges that is beyond what a fresher is supposed to encounter with.

The peppered ponmo was budgeted at #60,000, punch for also #60,000, DJ for #70,000, and several others, all amounting to #398,000. So how much was eventually spent? MR ASHCROFT: #362,000 was eventually spent.   FATSSSA PRESS: So #398,000 was, indeed, budgeted for 400 people but #362,000 was spent

THE FATSSSA WEEK EVENTS THROUGH THE EYES OF A NERDY FATSSSAITE

However, there had been loud hiccups with the crispy picnic, so many might have been hesitant to show up at the FATSSSA Week events. In preparation for the opening day of the events, the Large Lecture Theatre had been decorated. A large purple banner bearing the name of the faculty, with beautiful splashes of white and orange, was glued to the wall. The week started with an incredible intellectual programme - ‘Dean For  A Day’ and ‘FATSSSAites who inspire us’. BREAKING: FACULTY OF THE SOCIAL SCIENCES MOURNS LECTURER, SUSPENDS ALL ACTIVITIES FOR THE WEEK

  By Emmanuel Akinwale The Faculty of the Social Sciences has today, 8th October released a memorandum announcing the suspension of all academic and administrative activities within the f aculty , following the untimely passing of Professor Ifeanyi Onyeonoru , a respected lecturer in the Department of Sociology and Head of the Employment Relations and Human Resource Management Unit.   The devastating news confirmed by FATSSSA Press correspondent stated that Professor Ifeanyi Onyeonoru passed away in the early hours of October 7, 2024, at Jaja Clinic during a brief illnes. The esteemable Professor is said to have contributed significantly to the academic repository of the Faculty and most importantly, his Department with his repertoire of knowledge.
