Honourable
representing 400 level Psychology constituency at the FATSSSA House of
Representatives (FHR), Simon Bullem, has contemplated an impeachment motion
against the Social Director of the Faculty of the Social Sciences Students’
Association (FATSSSA), Miss Oluwatosin Ajao. He made this public while speaking
on the floor of the house in the last sitting of the FHR at the weekend.
It
would be recalled that Ajao had been previously indicted for incurring expenses
with proceeds of the Smoove Picnic tickets prior to the approval of the budget
by the House. While reacting during Ajao’s presentation of her Apology Letter
to the House and the report of the Picnic, Hon. Bullem explained that he
already contemplated an impeachment motion against the Social Director noting
that he only needed to convince some other Honourables at the background to
make the motion fly.
Hon.
Bullem, however, commented that he had forgiven her and he subsequently moved a
motion for the adoption of her report. The motion, which was seconded by the
Chief whip of the House, Hon. Ayeleke Abdulmuiz representing 200 level Geography constituency, subjects the report to further scrutiny by
the House Finance Committee and the Audit Committee if need be.
In
other news, the House approved the statutory allocation to the FATSSSA Press
Organisation. The allocation which is a constitutional provision of 1% of the
total basic dues collected, amounted to #10,275.
