ON BLUES' MURDER

Growing up, Agatha Christy was a goddess of crime and detective stories , her ability to weave plots, crime scene, build suspense and hold her readers spell bound was second to none in my eyes. Little did I know that Josef Sala Guardiola would write and execute a murder in a broad day light that made Agatha Christy's classics look like child's play.
On Sunday,Feburary 10 ,2019,the state was set for the Etihad to welcome Chelsea. In the reverse fixture,Chelsea for a 2-0 victory, hence everyone expected this fixture to be delicately poised but with the citizens having an edge. However no one expected city to mop the floor with chelsea.
Recently, Manchester city have developed a habit of scoring very early and they would not be denied against chelsea; though Alonso could be blamed for the first goal because he did show defensive indiscipline. One city did well was that reaction or attitude when they did not have the ball, the intensity was very high, when Chelsea had the ball, City became very narrow, they pressed chelsea high up the pitch, snuffed life out of them and distrupted the blues attempt at possession football and exploited their defensive indiscipline especially those of Alonso and Luiz.
The mentality of the top players at City is highly commendable. Just after the first goal by Sterling, Aguero missed a sitter that would have killed the game at that time (little did we know that the game would eventually be over killed). Aguero put the miss behind him and scored a stunner to make it 2 -0 and was present to pour dry pepper and salt into chelsea's open wound with 2 more goals; a feat that tied with Alan Shearer as the joint highest hatricks in the premier league with 11 hatricks. His awareness, positioning and quick decision making was too much for the flat footed defence of chelsea to handle. The rest of the players e.g Kevin debryune, Sterling, Bernado Silva , Gundogan and even David Silva (who came from the bench to have a hand in the 6th goal) all seemed to have come to the pitch with swords and axes ,all wanting a piece of chelsea for themselves and showed alot of blood thirsty signs and they left Chelsea battered , disfigured, chopped to pieces and they spilled their blood all over Etihad with the chief blood sucker ,Pep Guardiola cheering and asking for more.
For Chelsea, it is time for them to decide if they want to stick to this sterile possession playing style called "sarri ball" and hope that they progress and become an effective possession based team like man city or they terminate this disease now by going to the quick methods that have always worked for them.
