 NIGERIANS REACT AS YEMI ALADE COMPARES HERSELF TO DAVIDO, WIZKID.


Nigerian singer, Yemi Alade has sparked controversy online after she compared herself to music superstars, Davido and Wizkid.
The Daily Post reported that Yemi had in an interview said she is operating on the same level as Davido and Wizkid.
She was quoted as saying, “The same capacity Wizkid holds down in Africa, I hold it down, the same capacity Davido holds down in Africa, I hold it down, the same venues, we all shut it down.”
Nigerians on social media however expressed divergent opinions on the singer’s claim.While some believe that she actually measures up to the mentioned superstars, others warned her against such comparison, insisting that Davido and Wizkid are now international.
A Nigerian said “she is just praising herself falsely”. “She lacks lyrics” another opined.
Many were of the opinion that she is nowhere near WizKid and Davido or Mavin queen, Miss Tiwa.

Dee-Ann Rogers from Anguilla has been crowned Miss Universe Great Britain 2018 at the Riverfront Theatre and Arts Centre, Newport on Saturday night of 14th July 2018.
About 40 beauties from Wales, Scotland, and England took part in this mega national beauty contest.
Dee-Ann’s full name is Dee-Ann Kentish Roger.

THE FATSSSA WEEK EVENTS THROUGH THE EYES OF A NERDY FATSSSAITE

However, there had been loud hiccups with the crispy picnic, so many might have been hesitant to show up at the FATSSSA Week events. In preparation for the opening day of the events, the Large Lecture Theatre had been decorated. A large purple banner bearing the name of the faculty, with beautiful splashes of white and orange, was glued to the wall. The week started with an incredible intellectual programme - ‘Dean For  A Day’ and ‘FATSSSAites who inspire us’.   By Emmanuel Akinwale The Faculty of the Social Sciences has today, 8th October released a memorandum announcing the suspension of all academic and administrative activities within the f aculty , following the untimely passing of Professor Ifeanyi Onyeonoru , a respected lecturer in the Department of Sociology and Head of the Employment Relations and Human Resource Management Unit.   The devastating news confirmed by FATSSSA Press correspondent stated that Professor Ifeanyi Onyeonoru passed away in the early hours of October 7, 2024, at Jaja Clinic during a brief illnes. The esteemable Professor is said to have contributed significantly to the academic repository of the Faculty and most importantly, his Department with his repertoire of knowledge.
