"I was radical in approach because FHR would delay my plans from going the way I wanted" - Jones Shola Ogelekeme, Suspended Fatsssa President.

"I was radical in approach because FHR would delay my plans from going the way I wanted" - Jones Shola Ogelekeme, Suspended Fatsssa President.

"On May 2 or 3, 2017, the House approved six (6) executive budgets in one sitting, how is that a delay?" - Basil Umoke, Speaker, FHR.

Mr Jones Ogelekeme

The Faculty of the Social Sciences Students Association (FATSSSA) President, Mr Jones Ogelekeme who's currently under suspension, has revealed that the streak of unapproved withdrawals and spendings from the association's account was as a result of perceived delay on the part of the legislative arm. This he made known to the Press during the course of an interview with  FATSSSA PRESS which he ended abruptly after judging the questions asked him to be unintelligent.

He also held that the cheque with which N1,298,500 was withdrawn from the association's account was cosigned by the Fatsssa Financial Secretary who he claimed knew all about the withdrawal. The Financial Secretary, Adefowope Abiodun, however, had immediately denied signing the cheque, despite the fact that the cheque upon request was discovered to contain his (Abiodun Adefowope) signature.

the Speaker of the FHR, Mr Umoke Basil has however debunked the claim by the President that the FHR delayed his plans. In his words, "That's not true! On May 2 or 3, 2017, the house approved six (6) executive budgets in one sitting, how is that a delay. We have approved about 3 different budgets for the sports director. The president presented a cost he incurred before his actual budget was presented, and the budget monitoring and control committee sat only once on it and the approved at the following sitting. The first the president presents his administrative budget was the day it was approved with an upward increase of his budget by the house"

On whether the President had presented any budget on package or shirts, the Speaker held that "Never! There was NEVER a mention of such budgets by the president or any executive member. I remember during my manifesto, I talked about urging the executives to do most of the events in first semester. This is I planned before all these issues. If the president wanted to procure any item(s) I would certainly had made sure that received quick attention and treatment"
