FATSSSA GENERAL SECRETARY, EKUNDAYO ARIJE JOHN SUSPENDED BY FHR

The General Secretary of the Faculty of the Social Sciences Students Association, FATSSSA, Mr Ekundajo Arije John has been suspended by the FHR for conducting himself in an unruly manner during the last sitting of the FHR on Saturday 13th May.

Mr Ekundayo got into an altercation with the FHR members when he forcefully took his phone(which had been seized by the Chief Whip) from the Chief Whip's desk as he left angrily. When confronted by the Speaker, he claimed decisions of the house were not binding on him and that the House had no right to even fine him for not dressing properly in the first place.

The motion for his indefinite suspension was moved by Hon. Sherif Ayoade 400L Political Science and was seconded by Hon. Wale Adenuga the clerk of the House.

It would be noted that prior to the General Secretary walking out and speaking spitefully at the House members, the President Ogelekeme Jones had been ordered to excuse the House for some minutes as he was becoming uncontrollable.

THE FATSSSA WEEK EVENTS THROUGH THE EYES OF A NERDY FATSSSAITE

However, there had been loud hiccups with the crispy picnic, so many might have been hesitant to show up at the FATSSSA Week events. In preparation for the opening day of the events, the Large Lecture Theatre had been decorated. A large purple banner bearing the name of the faculty, with beautiful splashes of white and orange, was glued to the wall. The week started with an incredible intellectual programme - ‘Dean For  A Day’ and ‘FATSSSAites who inspire us’. I was determined to attend the programme as it was a new trend and I was curious to see how it would turn out. My mouth went agape as I saw FATSSSAites rush to the event.
