ANGRY POLITICAL SCIENCE HONOURABLES STAGE A WALK OUT AT FHR SITTING

The duo of Honourables Ayoade Sherif (400L) and Azeezat (200L) representing Political Science constituency at the Faculty House of Representatives yesterday walked out angrily during the sitting when a vote by honourables didn't go in their favour.

The duo had vehemently stood against the inauguration of one Mr Aquah Christian (now Hon. Aquah Christian) who is being co-opted by the President, Ogelekeme Jones. They based their stance on the fact that the said individual was a transfer student who was not done with his registration and as such not yet a full member of the association as well as the fact he had not paid his faculty dues.

Other members of the House didn't see this as a stumbling block to his inauguration as they believed he would still have to complete his registration and also pay his dues. Hon. John Bosco (400L) who is representing Geography also made mention of the fact that not all honourables seated at the floor of the house had paid their dues and as such they couldn't stall the inauguration of the co-opted member based on dues payment. Both parties for and against the inauguration stood their grounds and the issue was put to a vote. The result was 4-3 in favour of the inauguration of the new Honourable.

Seeing the turn of events, Hon. Sherif stood up and proclaimed that he wasn't convinced he would still be representing the interest of his constituency if he was still part of the sitting that would make such a decision. He then proceeded out of the sitting and was followed by Hon. Azeezat. Honourables there after went ahead with the inauguration of Mr Aquah Christian.
