ZIKITES REPAIR ZIK BRIDGE; RANCOUR IN NSASA;
ZIKITES REPAIR AND
COMMISSION ZIK BRIDGE
Zikites on Sunday 10th April went on a community
development project or repairing the bridge by the river Zik. The bridge had
been left to shreds by the tortuous rain and was in dire need of intervention
by any means if easy plying of that route was to be a considered an option,
especially for females.
It was in
this bid that the Baluba lions through the office of the Defence commissioner
and well meaning Zikites set out to repair their fallen bridge which services a
good number of Uites. The bridge was commissioned by the cheerful Zikites at
the end of all the hard work put into the restoration.

RANCOUR IN NSASA
The National Sociology and Anthropological Students Association
(NSASA) of the Social Sciences is in a state of rancor in what happens to be a
power tussle between the speaker of the NHR and the President of the said
association.
Pressmen
gathered that the spit is over the basic dues presented to the house by
executives which was a flat rate of 2000 naira for both fresh and returning
students. According to reports, the executives were directed by the NHR to
refund 500 naira to the returning students and 200 naira to the freshers
respectively bringing the dues to 1500 naira for stalites and 1800 for
freshers. The Speaker then called for a
congress and this led to the President removing the Speaker from their Whatsapp
page and making himself the sole Admin. After which, he disclaimed the congress
its originator a misguided student with a dented character.
The
President also alleged that the constitution had been altered by some elements
at the end of last session without due procedure and consultation with the
relevant authorities. Attempts to get the President’s side of the story proved
abortive. We will keep Fatsssaites updated with subsequent developments on this
issue.
