IFEC'26 HOLDS FHR BYE-ELECTIONS

The Independent Fatsssa Electoral Commission (IFEC) held the Fatsssa House of Representatives (FHR) bye-elections for the 2025/26 session today, Thursday, 19th of March 2026. 

A notice on this election was released on Tuesday, 17th of March 2026 and the election which was meant to have taken place on Wednesday, 18th of March 2026 was shifted and it took place today. 

The voting process happened via links shared in respective level groups across departments in the Faculty for fatsssaites to participate and the links were opened until 4pm today.

FATSSSA'S PRESIDENT IMPEACHED, FOUR OTHER EXECUTIVE MEMBERS SUSPENDED

    Peace Nkenta As at 2:25p.m on Friday, the 15th of May 2026, Peter Adegoke, President of the Faculty of The Social Sciences was impeached with a total of 14 out of 16 votes which represented more than two-thirds of the House and four other members of the executive council (which included the Vice President, the Social Director, the Sports Director and the Financial Secretary) were suspended for two weeks with a total of 9 out of 16 votes during the ordinary sitting held at the Small Lecture Theater (SLT).  This development stemmed from the several altercations between the FHR and the Executive Council.
