"All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy."

University life was supposed to be a perfect mix of learning and living. But for many students who fail at reaching a balance, especially those determined to make Mama proud, it often feels like a never-ending academic marathon.

The early morning lectures, countless assignments, group works (where you are frustrated to the extent you do most of the work) and the fear of failing makes an individual too invested in the role of being a perfect student with the perfect CGPA, while others are out having the best time of their lives while still excelling in their academics. Somewhere along the line of being too invested in excelling, your social life start to fades into the shadows and you begin to wonder" Is academic success worth the sacrifice?"

Life in the university should go beyond just good grades, but also about making the right friends, experiences that shape you, laughter, cries and growth. But when the pressure to succeed academically takes over, the fun side of a student life often suffers.

Many students feel torn between academic expectations and the desire to enjoy life. But you don’t have to choose one over the other, Being focused doesn’t mean you can’t have fun. Being social doesn’t mean you’re unserious. It’s all about finding a balance between study time and fun time, schedule time to relax and make relationships that matter. Don’t be afraid of falling behind, You’re not a machine. Rest, Enjoy your life and still have your eyes on the perfect CGPA.

So, is your academic life killing your social life? It could only be if you let it. You can be the student who gets top grades and still holds a good social life! The key is balance, so that when you look back, it won’t just be the good grades but every moment spent.
