JUST IN: FHR Inaugurates IFEC Members

By Glorious Olajire   In an emergency sitting convened via Google Meet on November 1, 2023, the FATSSSA House of Representatives (FHR) officially inaugurated six members of the Independent FATSSSA Electoral Commission (IFEC). According to Article 10, Section (ii)g of Chapter Three (3) of the FATSSSA constitution, the IFEC is to comprise eight reputable members of Congress, with two nominees from each department, as chosen by the FHR. Miss Olajumoke Adekola, Speaker of the House, disclosed that six out of the eight nominees were present for the inauguration, conducted by Mr. Olumide Dasaolu, President of the Faculty of The Social Science Students Association (FATSSSA). REGALE DINNER BUT PALTRY SATISFACTION: ON FATSSSA DINNER

Opinion: By GAUDIUM INTUERI The long-awaited FATSSSA dinner was held on 23rd June 2023. With the theme ‘Regale,’ one would expect that with this theme, the event would be graced by exquisiteness in all ramifications. Still, it's unfortunate that the dinner, to a considerable extent, brewed dissatisfaction on the path of various patrons (FATSSSAites) at the event. In fact, one could say that many students are clairvoyant by refusing to attend the event because the event, compared to its theme ‘Regale,’ was below par. Moreover, considering the average turnout of students, one could clearly assume that the organization, especially in terms of the arrangement at which the dish is served, is poor. The dissatisfaction among the attendees was so significant that some students had to leave the event early. In attendance were members of various press organisations across the faculty and some members of the newly elected FATSSSA executives; Mr Dasaolu Olamide(President-elect), Mr Owonifaari Toluwaleke (Vice-president elect) and Miss Popoola Gloria (General Secretary elect).
