Accountability remains a crucial aspect of any organization or administration, whether in politics or in formal/informal bodies. As the fourth estate of government, we took it upon ourselves to interview the candidate for the Vice‑President position.
Miss Emiola commended the present administration’s laudable achievements in female‑related sports and noted the low level of engagement in faculty activities over time. Coupled with these shortcomings and loopholes that the current administration pays little or no attention to, not only did she criticize constructively, but she also proposed solutions, and extended her arm of support to help FATSSSA (Faculty of Social Sciences Students’ Association) grow academically.“There will be weekly tutorials organized for each department,” she announced. She plans to guide freshers through their academic journey, saying, “Tutorial remains a critical aspect of academic activity that cannot be overlooked.” Regarding the state of the faculty toilets, she affirms her support for the executive’s sanitation role. To address the low student turnout in faculty activities, Miss Emiola will create a FATSSSA Counselling Unit an effective counselling service where students can book appointments at their convenience. She also intends to strengthen and formalize the mentorship program, letting lecturers serve as mentors, bridging the gap between staff and students. A convenient, conducive reading environment for late‑night study is another priority, and she urges students to keep the toilets clean.
