MIRROR

A man that can't be assessed is a man that can't be changed.

How can you become better when you don’t know who you are?

How can there be a way forward when the current location has not come into your awareness?

A man who does not see himself is like a man without direction.

He doesn’t know where he is, nor does he know where he is going.

He keeps following every step believing he will get to His location one day.

He failed to ask himself.

How will he know his location when he lacks knowledge

What if he has passed by his destination due to a lack of knowledge?

A mirror is a reflector, it brings you into the awareness of the present.

It’s not biased, it reflects what is placed at its front.

You are who you see in the mirror; that's exactly where you are.

How can you see who you are and where you are without a mirror?

And if you fail to see who you are and where you are, how can you know how far you have gone and what is left to do?

Mirror enlightens, it gives knowledge, it tells what is right and what is wrong.

With a mirror, you know what to adjust and what to applaud.

Embrace the mirror; embrace assessment; embrace enlightenment.

To know how far you have gone; to make a change; and to know where to go.

  By Emmanuel Akinwale The Faculty of the Social Sciences has today, 8th October released a memorandum announcing the suspension of all academic and administrative activities within the f aculty , following the untimely passing of Professor Ifeanyi Onyeonoru , a respected lecturer in the Department of Sociology and Head of the Employment Relations and Human Resource Management Unit.   The devastating news confirmed by FATSSSA Press correspondent stated that Professor Ifeanyi Onyeonoru passed away in the early hours of October 7, 2024, at Jaja Clinic during a brief illnes. The esteemable Professor is said to have contributed significantly to the academic repository of the Faculty and most importantly, his Department with his repertoire of knowledge. THE FATSSSA WEEK EVENTS THROUGH THE EYES OF A NERDY FATSSSAITE

However, there had been loud hiccups with the crispy picnic, so many might have been hesitant to show up at the FATSSSA Week events. In preparation for the opening day of the events, the Large Lecture Theatre had been decorated. A large purple banner bearing the name of the faculty, with beautiful splashes of white and orange, was glued to the wall. The week started with an incredible intellectual programme - ‘Dean For  A Day’ and ‘FATSSSAites who inspire us’. I was determined to attend the programme as it was a new trend and I was curious to see how it would turn out. My mouth went agape as I saw FATSSSAites rush to the event.
