Amongst the many courses students in the Faculty of the Social Sciences are obligated to take, FSS 204 is one Compulsory course often taken in 200 level by all students in the Faculty. FSS 204 as a course constitutes Statistical analysis for the Social sciences. This course is done twice in every session; once in each semester by a different department.
However, the Sub- dean of the Faculty, Dr Olaniyan has recently made it known that FSS 204 would not be done in both semesters anymore . Instead, it would now be taken only in the First semester of every session by the four distinguished departments.
Referencing a discussion by the Press with the Faculty President, Mr Faiz Oyekanmi, he indicated that the change pushes towards enhancing uniformity and to encourage comprehensive knowledge on Statistical Analysis.
The Faculty President also urged the Sophomore students to look forward to the tutorial sessions to be organized by the Faculty Vice-president and the departments’ Vice- Presidents to cater for the academic welfare of the students.
