On February 14th, 2024, in celebration of Valentine's Day, the Faculty of Social Sciences organized a special lecture at the Large Lecture Theatre. The lecture covered a range of topics, including drug abuse, financial literacy, and modest dressing.
Dr. Adeniyi led the session on financial literacy, highlighting the importance of financial education for students. He emphasized the detrimental impact of heading into exams without financial stability and discussed the broad scope of financial literacy, including common investment options.
During his presentation, Dr. Adeniyi focused on accessible investment avenues for students, such as stocks and bonds, stressing the significance of financial discipline in investment endeavors. He also cautioned against falling prey to investment scams, distinguishing between legitimate investments and fraudulent schemes.
In conclusion, Dr. Adeniyi advised students to steer clear of Ponzi schemes, warning of the potential regrets and financial losses associated with such ventures. His lecture garnered enthusiastic applause from the audience, reflecting its positive reception.
