FATSSSA GOT TALENT 2023: AN INTERVIEW WITH Ikwunne David Chibueze

The FATSSSA Got Talent show at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ibadan, is not just a platform for showcasing hidden talents but also a testament to the diverse skills possessed by our esteemed faculty members. This year, all eyes were fixed on an extraordinary individual whose outstanding talent not only garnered the admiration of the judges but also left a lasting impression on the student body.
Allow us to introduce David Ikwunne, a 400-level student in the Department of Geography. His breakdancing skills not only enthralled the audience but also secured his victory as this year's FATSSSA Got Talent winner.
In a conversation with David about how he prepared for FATSSSA Got Talent 2023, he simply replied, "I just sing, listen to music, and do my thing."
How long have you done this skill for?
"Since 5 years old; that is about 17 years ago".
Have you ever participated in a talent show before?
"The first edition of FGT, there were 9 contestants and I came 4th".
Where you scared at any point during the FGT 2023?
"I mentioned that I participated in the first edition of FGT, ironically the winner of that edition was a contortionist ; I was a bit intimidated when I saw another contortionist; but I was confident of what I was doing".
What do you intend on doing with the price money?
"Save and invest, when it dies down, reality will set in".
Do you see yourself participating in future competitions?
"If the price money is big enough"
