DOs AND DON'Ts OF ONLINE ASSESSMENT.

 What to know about online assessment.


Tension builds in the minds of students as Psychology department, 300 level holds their first quiz.


A day before, a trial quiz was held which was more like a training for the students in preparation for the actual quiz the following day.


The date and time was set, instructions were given, questions had been set and the clock seemed to tick slowly this time around. 


At the appointed time, the link to the test page dropped. It opened to display 35 OBJ questions and 20 minutes later, it was all over. In another 20 minutes, the results dropped in students respective mails. More tension as those that submitted after the set submission time could not find their scores.


PRECAUTIONS TO BE TAKEN DURING AN ONLINE TEST.


(1) Keep to time : The test will hold from 4:40 - 5:00pm says more than "the duration of the test is 20 minutes". Take note.


(2) Make sure you read  through the instructions : This is equally important because in trying to skip the instructions to save time, you may miss information that could actually save you time.


During the online quiz, the instruction contained information about the quiz containing 2 sections. A person that skipped the instructions would probably relax and take time answering questions and even rechecking answers but in trying to submit 3 minutes to the end of time will be brought to the second section.


Read through all instructions!


(3) When running out of time, you may have to answer all unanswered questions randomly as you can only submit after all questions have been answered.

Those that submitted without answering all were returned to unanswered questions as required before submission.


(4) Make sure you submit a minute or two before time : The network can be unpredictable at times and in this situation, risk taking may not be worth it as there's no score at all for late submission.


(5) In conclusion, the university of Ibadan holds integrity in high esteem and so, you are advised to desist from cheating of any sort even during this period of online assessment.

THE FATSSSA WEEK EVENTS THROUGH THE EYES OF A NERDY FATSSSAITE

However, there had been loud hiccups with the crispy picnic, so many might have been hesitant to show up at the FATSSSA Week events. In preparation for the opening day of the events, the Large Lecture Theatre had been decorated. A large purple banner bearing the name of the faculty, with beautiful splashes of white and orange, was glued to the wall. The week started with an incredible intellectual programme - ‘Dean For  A Day’ and ‘FATSSSAites who inspire us’.
