FHR Approves N167, 000 for the Total Students’ Conference

The FATSSSA House Representatives (FRH) in its sitting on Friday 9th August ,2019 approved the sum of N167, 000 for the upcoming Total Students’ Conference. The approval came after the N207, 900 budget presented to the House by the President was debated on the floor of the house.
While speaking on the budget, the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Williams Ugwuja emphasised the need for the executive council to source for funds beyond the FATSSSA purse so as to ensure that other programs of the administration do not lack the needed funds.

The President, Mr. John Adeleke while presenting the budget noted some of the efforts taken to get sponsors for the Conference and he expressed his optimism about getting positive feedback from their intending sponsors. Among items included in the budget are: Publicity, Decoration, Sound System, Refreshment, Photography, Plaques, Essay Contest, Transportation and Miscellaneous.

It would be recalled that the Total Students’ Conference tagged: ‘IS SCHOOL A SCAM?’ is in line with the vision of the current administration in ensuring it caters for every sphere of FATSSSAites studentship. The Conference is scheduled to hold at Large Lecture Theatre of the Faculty of the Social Sciences on Friday 16th August, 2019 by 9am.
