Welcome to our prestigious faculty.
Congratulations on scaling the hurdles of SSCE, UTME & POST-UTME and becoming a UIte.
Whether you wanted the course you were given or not…it is yours now for the time being…I implore you to make the most of it.
Life in the university is very different from the life you are used to…
Fasten your seatbelts social scientists, it’s going to be one interesting ride with unexpected twists and turns coupled with sharp corners you’ll never see until you are face-to-face with them.
Be strong, be resolute, be determined and be focused.
Make friends as much as you can; strong relationships
Be loving, be giving…relax a little, have fun as often as you can
But always remember that all these is possible because you are first a student of this institution…so don’t neglect your academics

To the stalites, welcome back.
The higher you go, the tougher it becomes…guys this is a fact.
Don’t worry about where you are now, with much effort you can perform better and if you’re one of the ‘efiwes’ keep it up and keep firing don’t relax…
We would finish strong.
Let us all encourage and support the fresh men the best way we can, after all we were once freshers.

To the Finalists… we have come this far not just to come this far; let us all strive to immortalize ourselves in this faculty and the university by extension…lets write our names on the sands of time.
As most of us want to catch up on all the fun we have missed out on this past semesters, let’s not forget our academics too.
Let’s check with our project supervisors from time to time and let us strive to put in our best. We will not have extra year ooo.

BREAKING: FACULTY OF THE SOCIAL SCIENCES MOURNS LECTURER, SUSPENDS ALL ACTIVITIES FOR THE WEEK

  By Emmanuel Akinwale The Faculty of the Social Sciences has today, 8th October released a memorandum announcing the suspension of all academic and administrative activities within the f aculty , following the untimely passing of Professor Ifeanyi Onyeonoru , a respected lecturer in the Department of Sociology and Head of the Employment Relations and Human Resource Management Unit.   The devastating news confirmed by FATSSSA Press correspondent stated that Professor Ifeanyi Onyeonoru passed away in the early hours of October 7, 2024, at Jaja Clinic during a brief illnes. The esteemable Professor is said to have contributed significantly to the academic repository of the Faculty and most importantly, his Department with his repertoire of knowledge. THE FATSSSA WEEK EVENTS THROUGH THE EYES OF A NERDY FATSSSAITE

However, there had been loud hiccups with the crispy picnic, so many might have been hesitant to show up at the FATSSSA Week events. In preparation for the opening day of the events, the Large Lecture Theatre had been decorated. A large purple banner bearing the name of the faculty, with beautiful splashes of white and orange, was glued to the wall. The week started with an incredible intellectual programme - ‘Dean For  A Day’ and ‘FATSSSAites who inspire us’. I was determined to attend the programme as it was a new trend and I was curious to see how it would turn out. My mouth went agape as I saw FATSSSAites rush to the event.
